Village's houses
Village birth:
In 1996, ACVN proposed to SOS Children's Village International the building of a Children's Village in Dong Hoi, project accepted in Novembre 2001. Then, Dong Hoi town authorities gave a piece of land right into town.
Building started in 2004 and, even if overall constructions were not over, first children were wellcomed in the Village a few days before Christmas 2005. On Septembre 7, 2006, the Village was opened with the presence of Mr. Helmut Kutin, President of SOS Children's Village International.
Created as a partnership with SOS Children's Village, Dong Hoi children's Village is the consecration of the association's members efforts (selling greeting cards) with in addition generous donations of the Vallet foundation and Courtois family, among others.
120 children live in the Dong Hoi SOS Village, happy to live together under the loving care of their 12 SOS Mothers.
The Village creation fifth birthday was celebrated on January 6, 2012.

House N°3, family meal
A favourable environnement for children's studies and opening up:
The Village has twelve family houses, four administrative houses and one kindergarten that is also receiving children outside to the Village. Houses are built around a large field, with a play ground, which allows family to gather together.
Next to the Village, 5 min. walking distance, are already a primary school and a college where the Village's children may get schooling.
In partnership with the NGO « Rencontres du Vietnam », ACVN built at Dong Phu college a building with a library, two rooms for physics, chemistry and biology practical exercices and one language laboratory for teaching languages (english, french..). Vendée Rotary Clubs (France), thanks to ACVN local dynamism, gave all computer equipments for the language laboratory.
Life in the Village is getting organized and children, step by step, smile more and more.
